Where can I find the Asset Tag # (also called PCS Tag #)?
- You can find the Asset Tag # by looking for the black and silver “Property of Paul Cuffee School” label on your device
- It’s usually on the top left hand corner of the cover of a Chromebook but can sometimes be found elsewhere on the device
What if the PCS Tag # is ripped or missing and I am requesting support for a Chromebook that powers on?
- Press Alt + V at the sign on screen
- This will only work on the sign-on screen. If you’ve already logged into the Chromebook, you’ll have to log out first
- The Asset Tag # can be found at the top right corner of the screen after the heading “Asset ID:”
- If the Asset ID is blank, you can provide the serial number which shows right above the Asset ID after the heading “SN:”
What if the PCS Tag # is ripped or missing and I am requesting support for a Chromebook that does not power on?
- Provide the serial number found on the bottom of the Chromebook
- It often is listed in very tiny print and follows the heading “SN:” or “S/N:”
- Feel free to attach a picture of the serial number to the ticket if that’s easier
What if the PCS Tag # is ripped or missing and I am requesting support for another type of device?
- Provide the serial number found on the device (usually on the bottom)
- It often is listed in very tiny print and follows the heading “SN:” or “S/N:”
